Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Nairobi
Met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Transfer to Eka Hotel or similar for overnight.

Nairobi to Iten
Depart after breakfast, descending the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Stop in Nakuru. Ascend western escarpment to Eldoret for lunch. Proceed to HATC in Iten.

Training at HATC
Check-in, briefing and orientation from coach. Afternoon: train with resident trainees and local athletes.

Training at HATC
Pre-dawn training. Mid-morning: visit local school. Coach lecture. Last training for the day.

Pre-dawn training. Coach lecture. Afternoon: more rigorous training. Restful night needed.

Competition & Farewell
Pre-dawn training. Team competition for a prize. Evening farewell dinner with presentations.

Kericho to Maasai Mara
Depart after breakfast, driving to the highlands of Kericho. Visit a tea farm and black tea factory — Kericho produces over 70% of all tea in Kenya. Lunch at Kericho hotel. Proceed to the Mara with game drive en-route. Evening drinks over bonfire.

Maasai Mara Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the Maasai Mara — described as the '8th wonder of the world' for the Great Wildebeest Migration (mid-July to October, over 2 million herbivores from the Serengeti).

Full Day in the Mara
Full day searching for the Big Five (black rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant) with 2 game drives. Options for hot air balloon ride and/or Maasai cultural village visit.

Departure
Depart by road after breakfast for Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch. Day rooms reserved until 6pm.
