Nairobi to Iten
Depart Nairobi by road after breakfast. Descend Great Rift Valley, stop in Nakuru, ascend to Eldoret for lunch. Proceed to HATC in Iten. Briefing and orientation. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Training at HATC
Pre-dawn training. Visit local school. Coach lecture. Last training of the day.

Pre-dawn training. Coach lecture. Rigorous afternoon training. Restful night for competition day.

Competition & Farewell

Return to Nairobi
Depart after breakfast by road for Nairobi. Late afternoon arrival, check in for dinner and overnight.

Samburu Game Reserve
Depart very early morning, heading north through Kikuyu farmlands (coffee, pineapple near Thika). Beyond Mt Kenya foothills, descend to semi-arid Samburu country. Lunch at lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive.

Full Day in Samburu
Full day game viewing with optional Samburu cultural village visit. Famous for the 'Special Samburu 5': Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and vulturine guinea fowl.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Early morning game drive. Depart for the slopes of Mt Kenya. Lunch at Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Afternoon: explore the sanctuary known for black and white rhino, visit the Jane Goodall chimpanzee enclosure (feeding time at 3pm).

Departure
Optional early morning game drive. Depart after breakfast for Nairobi, arriving early afternoon.
